Overview
Depron is a 6mm closed-cell polystyrene insulation board installed beneath Ecofilm heating in compatible floating wood and laminate floor constructions. It helps reduce heat loss into the subfloor and provides a level base for the heating layer.
Depron thermal insulation boards
An extruded polystyrene insulation material for use below wood or laminate floors in conjunction with Carbon Film underfloor heating elements.
Depron is available in 6mm thick sheets and is manufactured from recycled material free from ozone-depleting chemicals. Produced from a closed-cell construction foamed polystyrene it has excellent thermal insulation properties. It MUST be used below ALL ECOFILM heating systems.
Each board covers 0.5m2, order the pack size you require for your chosen floor area adding approximately 10% for cutting wastage. Where threshold height limitations permit in conservatories we recommend installing a double layer of ECOMAX-LITE insulation.

Fixing to the subfloor
The board is laid over a clean, dry and level subfloor. Whether it is loose-laid or bonded depends on the subfloor and the floor construction going above it, so ask us for the method that applies to your installation.
