Carbon film underfloor heating for wood floors insulation layer
First, we install a layer of 6mm thermal insulation boards across the entire sub-floor. The floor insulation is then taped around the edges with heavy-duty cloth tape to ensure a sealed floor.
This insulation layer prevents any heat or cold from passing through, meaning that any heat produced by your heating system can only rise and warm the room.
The whole build-up - insulation, film and all - is 7mm. Your door still closes.

Our company offers the Underfloor Heating For Wood Floors in three different widths. The installation covers the entire floor area, leaving only a 100mm gap around the perimeter. Additionally, the workers overlay the heating elements with a protective vapour barrier and seal it around the edges.
The electrician wires and connects the Under Wood Heating System to your power source via a fused spur isolation switch. Notably, this type of electric underfloor heating system has no moving parts, which not only allows for maintenance-free operation but also enhances reliability.

Finish flooring installation

In addition, we recommend removing skirting boards for best results. Afterwards, you will subsequently refit the skirting boards after laying the floor. We install matching threshold bars at your doorways and around fixtures like fireplaces.

Engineered wood and laminate products have maximum permitted temperatures and thermal-resistance limits. We check the chosen board and underlay together and configure the floor limit accordingly. Solid timber must not be described as universally suitable.
Sized for the clear floor area
The film is planned around the room and kept away from fixed units and other areas where heat could be trapped. The supplied elements must not be shortened, folded or overlapped during installation.
Electrical connection and guarantee
A qualified electrician completes the connection, testing and certification. Ecofilm carries the stated 10-year product guarantee, subject to the manufacturer’s installation terms; controls and insulation have their own warranty periods.
